This section will also tell you a little more about me!
I am currently Chairman of the BHTA AAC trade sector (formerly the eCAT (electronic Communication and
Assistive Technology) trade sector) and have in the past acted as a main board
director of the BHTA (www.bhta.net). I also provide some training for the BHTA on their Code of Practice.
I acted as Research Lead for a 3 year project for Communication Matters (www.communicationmatters.org.uk) that researched the need for/provision of products and services for people with significant speech and language needs. The project came to a successful completion in June 2013.
I acted as the Publicity Officer for the National Garden Scheme (NGS) in Worcestershire (www.ngs.org.uk) for 5 years from 2009 until the end of the summer season in 2013, and from October 1st 2013 have been appointed as the Worcestershire County Organiser. We also open our garden under this scheme.
I act as "webmaster" for the art classes I attend (www.pamsartclasses.co.uk) and for our church website (www.catshillmethodists.org.uk), where I am also a lay preacher and senior steward.
I am a Trustee of The North Worcestershire Basement Project (aka Bromsgrove Basement), (www.bromsgrovebasementproject.org.uk) a charity that supports young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or who have homelessness or other related problems. In this voluntary capacity I also act as the Charity's CEO.
I am currently a "Ranger" for the Canal and Rivers Trust (www.canalrivertrust.org.uk), another voluntary role which involves walking a strecth of the Birmingham Worcester Canal most weeks to check culverts etc, pick up litter and assist any boaters who need it.
